How to book a wedding venue during lockdown
We’ve all had to adapt to lockdown over the last few months , and it’s brought many changes , both good and bad. One of the things that has changed for the moment is booking a venue for your wedding . It has to be said that booking a venue is one of the most important things that you can do when planning your wedding day, and not being able to visit plus the high demand for dates is making that very tricky. Once you have a venue everything else , photographers, florists , cake , can all start to slot into place .
So, how can you decide on a venue when you can’t go and see it in person ? I always think choosing your wedding venue is like buying a house - it can look great on paper and tick all the boxes , but until you walk through the door you just don’t know. At Peterstone Court we understand how daunting and stressful it can be to make a choice , and we have some ideas to help you .
Phone conversations are always useful , they can give you a chance to weigh up the feeling you get from the other person , and to ask useful questions , we are always happy to answer questions , but it’s still not as good as seeing the venue and talking at the same time is it ? Next on the list is getting a feel for the how the venue will work for you- is it big enough , or too big ? Does the building flow well for the way you’d like your day to go ? Does it look as good in real life as the photos suggest? Well we think we have the answer , a 3 layered attack !
Once you’ve looked at the internet and social media , and narrowed your choice give us a ring , chat through your ideas and talk about budgets and available dates - there is a lot of pressure for dates in the next 18 months , so be as flexible as you can with this.
Luckily , before lockdown Peterstone Court took the next step - virtual tours , this is great and I highly recommend it

We love our business , but most of all we love meeting couples who are planning their weddings.
